"No Buts About It"
“No Buts About It” is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization whose goal is to save lives through education and increased awareness of colorectal cancer and the importance of early screenings among our Greater Dayton community.
No Buts About It, as an organization and 5K, was founded in 2008, with the first NBAI 5K being held at the 75 Sylvania Drive location of Dayton Gastroenterology. After that first year, it was apparent the event was going to grow too large to remain at Dayton Gastro's location, so the 5K was moved to The Mall at Fairfield Commons for the following 9 years. The race has continued to grow in size each year, and after reaching over 1,000 participants in 2017 we felt as though it was time to relocate the race to safely accommodate the growing number of participants. In 2018 the race will be held at Welcome Stadium! The beautiful, scenic course will run along the Great Miami River with the Dayton Dayton skyline and Carillon Historical park in the background.
2018 marks the 11th Annual No Buts About It 5K, and we are excited to continue the tradition of saving lives through education and increased awareness of colorectal cancer, as well as emphasizing the importance of early screenings among our Greater Dayton community.
All net proceeds from the 5K are used to fund screening colonoscopies for uninsured persons in economic hardship.
